Vision
Our vision is who we strive to be - a community where people explore faith, find hope in Jesus, and make a difference.
EXPLORE FAITH
We believe questions are important, and we all have them. Whether you've been a Christian a long time or aren't sure what to think, we strive to be a safe place where people can explore their faith with all their doubts and questions.
FIND HOPE IN JESUS
We believe hope is not only found at the end of pain, but in the midst of it. We talk honestly and openly about pain, mental health, and the realities of being human. We think pain and hope can coexist. The good news and personhood of Jesus provides profound hope and immense comfort while things are hard.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE
We believe God has uniquely wired each person to make a difference in their sphere of influence. In all we do, we strive to help people become who they were made to be in order to impact the community around them.
Mission
Our mission is what we do. Our mission is found in the great commandments (Mark 12:29-31) and the great commission (Matt. 28:18-20). You'll see those passages listed below.
LOVE GOD

CONNECTION

We are all being formed into something. The question is - are we intentional about what is shaping us? As a community, we implement intentional practices to help us become who we were made to be - both corporately and individually. We believe God is interested in us being wholly transformed through Jesus for the sake of the world, and we strive to help each other do that. Our Story
Several years ago, Trey and Anna Hayman began sensing the Lord calling them to start a new church in South Nashville. As they prayed and shared this dream with others, they knew this was what God had called them to do. In October 2019, Trey and Anna began meeting with a core group of leaders to envision what a new church in their neighborhood of South Nashville might look like, and God gave them the vision of a Jesus-centered, Spirit-led church called New City Church.
Nashville is growing. It’s becoming a new city. This new city is filled with people from all across the world. We believe that God is calling New City Church to be a church that is reflective of that new city and the new city that God is making, where people “from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages” (Revelation 7:9) come together to worship Jesus. No matter your background, you’re welcome.
New City launched on Easter of 2021 and actively strives to join God in what He is doing in Nashville. We’re a small community of people for you to walk with in life. If you want to be a part of our team or are interested in knowing more about who Jesus is and how He changes everything, join us.
